Dresden Reiseführer für den iPod
Das reise blog berichtet heute über die iPod City Guides von wcities. Für weltweit 300 Städte gibt es die Reiseführer, die auf iPods der 3. und 4. Generation installiert werden können. Einen Dresden City Guide gibt es natürlich auch. Weil es ihr an einem iPod mangelt, konnte die Autorin Katrin Lutz leider keine Review schreiben. Wir sind ebenfalls nicht in Besitz einer solchen Lifestyle-Flunder. Aber Caroline aus L.A. konnte einen Eindruck von den Reiseführern gewinnen. Demnach soll das Menü sehr umständlich sein und ständiges Scrollen beim Lesen stark ermüden. Außerdem fügt sie noch einen sehr plausiblen Kritikpunkt an:
Sure, you have the address and phone number of a place but you still need a map to get there. Most guide books come with maps so I’m thinking lugging one around is preferable.
But really, “A” for effort, “C” for execution. It would be really cool, if say for the photo or video iPods they had the ability to show pictures of the places and maybe even maps.
Wer dennoch lieber mit einem digitalen Reiseführer auf Tour gehen möchte, greift besser zu einem Palm oder Pocket PC, der eben auch sehr gutes Kartenmaterial zur Verfügung stellt.
